A digital banking platform that doesn’t tie your hands
Banks have been trapped between two compromises for years. Bespoke platforms offer too many limits to scale properly. In-house development is too cumbersome to scale fast.
Plumery offers banks an alternative: a developer-first, AI-ready foundation that you can build your whole growth plan on. Scale, grow and retain customers independently of us.

The kind of platform banks need
A platform designed to deliver your strategy
You need a digital banking platform to deliver your strategy. But most of them limit you as much as they help. To keep expanding into new markets and adopt AI safely, you need a foundation you can build upon, not one that boxes you in.

Autonomy to take full advantage of AI
Some vendors build AI in and expect you to use theirs, but by then you’re locked in. Plumery is event-driven, built for AI from the ground up with MCP compatibility, so your bank can run the AI it needs and change when the situation demands.
Make bespoke alternatives look slow
When a platform offers a bank’s developers an AI-native SDLC, and full control of composable banking journeys, you can quickly build unique, reliable customer experiences and integration into legacy systems.
Implementation that wastes no time
Banks see ROI fast when they can scale and build differentiating features from day one of implementation, and get foundational functionality live in less than three months.
Scale without touching your core
With a decoupled platform layer, you can integrate, launch ideas and scale without touching or depending on your core. And you can progressively migrate downstream systems without disrupting your customer experience.

How does the Plumery platform integrate with a core banking system?
Agnostic by design, our Digital Success Fabric can integrate with any core (including multi-core). It’s designed to decouple a bank’s core from its customer experience layer, so that both can operate independently. And if the core goes down there’s no disruption to customer experiences.
By decoupling from the core, you’re also making wider modernisation projects possible in less time, without customer impact. One bank was able to migrate to a new modern core, a new CRM and Plumery’s Digital Success Fabric in eight months, a project that would typically take 24 or even longer.
How should a platform link to existing or internal banking software?
Many banking platforms are not open by design. They only link to their own proprietary software or can only be connected by the platform vendor’s professional services.
Our platform can be integrated with any existing systems and software your bank is currently using, including any CRM and any legacy software developed in-house, so your software environment and partner ecosystem are under your control.
We offer many integrations out of the box. And our Integration Fabric gives you the freedom to build integrations in-house, or with your choice of a trusted Plumery partner. This process is fast tracked with our AI-native SDLC, which has access to all our knowledge and best practices for architecture. We’ve made vendor lock in unnecessary. You can make it extinct.
What is the full spectrum of banking products we can offer using the platform?
The short answer is there are no limits to the banking products you can offer. 80% of customer journeys, common to all banks are included out-of-the-box in the platform. The remaining 20%, the part that differentiates you, is yours to build. These can be fully adapted to fit your customers and vision.
Our Services Fabric also enables your developers, or partners of your choice, to build new services and customer journeys that might not exist anywhere else in the market. You have full ownership of your roadmap, raising your ability to take on both challenger banks and traditional banks — staying structurally ahead of your competitors.
What loan application journeys come out-of-the-box?
For business banking we offer the automation of secured and unsecured loans, credit lines, business credit cards, instalment loans, and merchant cash advances.
For retail banking, we offer buy-now-pay-later, consumer lending and mortgages.
We also offer explainable AI loan origination, as well as conversational AI, to manage loan enquiries and make decisions aligned with your company’s financial health and risk appetite.
What key features do the best digital banking platforms include?
A digital banking platform should offer all the table-stakes capabilities you would expect to see: accounts management, lending, onboarding, identity and access management such as multi-factor authentication, payments, deposits, real-time notifications, and UI/UX templates to create mobile apps and online banking. All compliant with regulatory standards.
The exact capabilities will depend on whether you’re focusing on retail or business banking, whether you’re a credit union, bank or fintech.
We’d argue that the top digital platforms should also leave you free to build: new digital journeys, integration into any core and any software, implemented in-house or by your choice of partner. The platform should take digital banking in any direction you want, not just theirs.
How do I choose a digital banking solution as a bank or building society?
There are a number of considerations when choosing a digital banking solution. Here are a few:
- Ask how fast the platform can be implemented. The timeline can vary widely: between three and six months, or between 12 and 24.
- Ask whether the platform connects out-of-the-box with your existing core, banking software and with your planned upgrades. Many vendors talk about “seamless integration” but the right platform should disrupt your current tech stack as minimally as possible.
- Ask how much change is possible on the platform without change orders. Many platforms rely heavily on vendor-locked consulting services to make them work in practice. That’s simply part of the model: attractive initial pricing wins the deal, but then they generate up to 50% of their revenue outside the initial ‘platform cost’.
- Ask whether you’re free to build on the platform, or whether you’re limited to predefined customisation options. Your level of freedom will determine how distinct your services can be in the market, and what competitive advantage you can gain.
What other financial institutions will benefit from a digital banking platform?
Neobanks, fintechs, credit unions will all use digital banking platforms to launch and run digital services without building from scratch. The trade-off to watch: some platforms cap what you can change without vendor involvement, so check the flexibility your roadmap needs before prioritising cost savings above all else.
What is in place for security and risk management?
The platform is compliant with regulatory requirements of financial software (ISO, SOC2, etc.), protecting customer data and supplying the digital journeys to guard against fraud. Our platform also supports proactive risk management — so our team knows and addresses any incidents before you do.
Is there a difference between this platform and other software for banks?
Usually digital solutions for banks restrict you to a predefined set of extensions. With Plumery, you retain as much control as if you’d built the entire system yourself. Except you go live in months.
Platforms might also not be built from the ground up for AI. When platforms pivot into AI, their underlying architecture will impose limits on what’s possible.
Will I need to replace my core banking software?
No. Our platform is compatible with any core. We made it open by design to enable banks to make integration with existing legacy systems and core platforms faster.
Can I use my own AI model or agent, or is Plumery building a closed system?
Our platform is MCP compatible, so you will always be able to use any model or agent, even ones that are not on the market yet, without overhauling your systems to adopt them.
