The mission
Why Plumery exists
Our mission is to enable financial companies of any size globally to launch composable digital and AI banking experiences fast without giving up control, so they can adapt freely as banking changes and their vision grows.
Who we are
Digital banking needs a more beautiful foundation
Our name is derived from Plumeria, a tropical flower that is considered sacred in some cultures, symbolising new beginnings, dedication, and beauty.
It’s a contrast to how ugly digital banking can get. We know where the industry's compromises came from because we once worked for the companies that built them. We were in escalation meetings when banks discovered their vendors’ technology was more limited than they anticipated. And we were powerless to offer more than license concessions as a consolation.
This was a situation we didn’t want to continue. So we launched a new beginning for banks: Plumery.

Company history & future
Our history and what we’re doing now
Backed by leading venture capital firms, Plumery has been an independent product company since December 2022. And our team has spent decades building digital banking platforms used by more than 300 banks worldwide.
That experience helps us understand how banking architecture got here, and where it needs to go next. We’ve built a platform that helps financial institutions launch digital and AI experiences fast and then stay structurally ahead of their competitors, regardless of whether developers or agents are writing the code.

FAQ
Questions that may be on your mind.
If you can’t find the answers you’re looking for, speak with our growth team or solution architects.
Why did Plumery start?
Plumery was founded because we believed banks should no longer have to choose between building everything themselves and buying a platform they couldn't truly control. We set out to combine the speed of modern platforms with the independence of in-house development.
Who is Plumery for?
Plumery works with banks, credit unions, fintechs and neobanks that want to modernise their digital channels without becoming dependent on a single vendor or replacing their existing core systems.
What makes Plumery different?
Most digital banking platforms will offer you either speed or flexibility. Plumery is designed to provide both.
Customers start with ready-made digital banking journeys but retain the freedom to fully adapt and extend them as their business evolves. You maintain as much control as if you’d built the entire platform yourself, except you go live in months.
Why does Plumery talk so much about independence?
We believe institutions should control their roadmap and customer experience, building freely without depending on vendor-locked professional services every time they want to make a change.
How does AI fit into Plumery's vision?
We see AI as another interface to banking rather than another product category. We also believe it shouldn’t be tied to a vendor’s chosen model or predefined capabilities, so that banks don’t need a new platform every time technology, including AI, changes.
By exposing banking journeys as reusable capabilities, Plumery offers you a foundation that’s ready for today’s initial experiments with conversational AI as well as the more advanced agentic interfaces you’ll want to introduce over the coming years.
